One of the BEST ways to reach struggling or early readers is to use environmental print!
Environmental print allows students to understand that letters connect to form words that we use every day.
ALL students will benefit from seeing environmental print, but it is especially beneficial for our English Language Learners and Special Education students who are focused on pre-literacy foundational skills.

26 A-Z printable workmats featuring places such as Best Buy, Target, Walmart, and Pizza Hut, and brands such as Crayola, Oreo, Subway, and Reese's.
4 Build-a-Word workmats
3 adapted books featuring "I can go, I can eat, and I can play"
Use these as centers, as part of your direct instruction, and for differentiation for your struggling learners.
