Lacey Reads! {Wordless Wednesday}

I mentioned a few days ago that we had adopted our sweet puppy, Lacey.  It's been an adjustment for sure- but in a good way!  Most of the time she's happy to sleep, chew on a bone, or chase her tail, but occasionally she gets into a little mischief.

I walked away for a minute (usually she follows me) and when I came back she had Harry Potter off the shelf and was looking quite guilty.

Then I took this picture.  I <3 it and want to use it in my classroom.  How would you use this picture in your classroom?

  1. You could have your students write a story to go with the picture (what they think happened). I would also post a copy of this picture above my classroom library with the caption something like, "What DOG gone good books have you read lately?"

  2. Hi Maria, I found you on Wordless Wednesday (because I linked up a day late)--i LOVE your birdie theme! And your puppy is such a sweetie! Stop by sometime to say hi :)

  3. Bulletin Board! "Summer Reading Reviews" or "Book Recommendations" or "I read the BEST book over the summer!" It would be great as an informal BOY writing assessment. Have kids write a review/recommendation/summary about a book (or movie) the read over the summer.

  4. YES!!! That's a definite frame worthy pic. SO CUTE!

  5. Not even Lacey can result the appeal of Harry Potter! Looks like a great story starter to me!
